How to Get to Barrows (Fairy Ring Code + Teleport)

The fastest way to Barrows is the fairy ring code BIP, which lands you east of the mounds — one south-step from the mounds themselves. This requires 50 Agility and the partial Fairytale II quest progress to unlock fairy rings. Without fairy rings, the fastest alternative is the Barrows teleport tablet (~2.5K GP each), which puts you directly on the mounds with no run.

Backup teleport routes:

1. Fairy ring BIP — 1 tile east of the mounds (requires 50 Agility + fairy ring access).
2. Barrows teleport tablet — ~2.5K GP, instant arrival on the mounds.
3. Fairy ring BKR — lands in Mort Myre Swamp; walk south through the swamp.

How Barrows Works: Crypts, Tunnels & Brothers Killed Bonus

Barrows is six grave mounds, six brothers, and a tunnel-maze with a chest in the centre. Killing all six brothers raises the chest's "brothers killed" counter to 6, which directly multiplies the loot table — the more brothers killed, the higher the unique-drop probability and the larger the rune/coin payouts. Skipping brothers cripples the run.

Run flow:

1. Click each grave mound, dig with a spade, drop into the crypt, open the sarcophagus, fight the brother.
2. One mound (randomised per run) does not spawn its brother in the crypt — instead it opens a ladder to the underground tunnels.
3. After killing the other five brothers, return to the empty crypt, descend into the tunnels.
4. The tunnels are a 3×3 grid of nine rooms connected by short and long corridors. Locked doors force a route around. Tilt the camera before entering each door — the room with your "puzzle door" is the one with an "Open" option (the other three only "Examine").
5. Reach the centre room, open the chest. The sixth brother spawns at this point if he hasn't already ambushed you in the tunnels.
6. After looting, the tunnels collapse and you take damage every few ticks — teleport out immediately.

Prayer drain warning: the crypts and tunnels drain prayer at an accelerated rate — roughly 10 prayer points every 18 seconds while in the area. Bring 4–6 Prayer potion (4)s per trip and a Holy Wrench (from Rum Deal) to stretch each dose 50% further.

The optimal kill order is Dharok → Karil → Ahrim → Verac → Guthan → Torag, alternating Protect from Melee → Protect from Ranged → Protect from Magic → back to Melee. This sequence minimises prayer flicks and clusters the dangerous melee brothers around your strongest offensive prayer windows.

Why this kill order works:

• Dharok first while you have full HP and adrenaline — his max hit climbs as his HP drops, so killing him with Magic from across the room while protecting from Melee neutralises the threat fastest.
• Karil second — his Ranged hits are accurate; Protect from Ranged is essentially mandatory.
• Ahrim third — Protect from Magic blocks most damage but his stat-drain spells still land, so don't stall.
